Public Comment Opportunity

Public comments were accepted on the following proposals through May 27, 2024.

Due to later submission, public comments on the Correction to Elk Season Dates in HD 280 and the amendment proposed by Commissioner Burrows for Mountain Lion Quotas were accepted through June 5, 2024. 

*Additionally, with the late addition of Elk Hunting Access (EHA) Agreements, public comment was accepted on that topic through June 16, 2024.

In doing so, the commission may accept, reject, or modify any actions recommended or proposed by the department on any action item. Individual commissioners are not required to propose any requested modifications or changes to a department recommendation prior to a meeting and may do so by requesting one or more amendments to the department’s recommended motion language at the time of the meeting. Commissioners may, however, submit a written proposal to the department for a modification to a department recommendation prior to a meeting. In those instances, the department will post the proposed change and the department’s response (if any) to the meeting agenda website for public review and comment.  Time for comment may be limited at the Chair's discretion.
