Public comments were accepted on the following proposals through September 30, 2025 with final potential action to be taken at the October 9 meeting.  

*NEW TOPIC ADDED*  The EHD topic shown below was added on October 6, 2025.  This topic will open for public comment at or before 4 p.m. on October 6. The public comment period will be open until 4 p.m. on October 8. This will allow time for the Commission to evaluate all submissions prior to the October 9 meeting. Public comment will also be available during the meeting but to comment during the meeting you must register by noon on October 8 (see below).

Senate Bill 83 - Proposed Final Adoption  (MAPA Process, Final Step)

All oral and written comments received through the MAPA process are included in the official record and will be provided to the Commission for its review, consideration, and action at the October 9 meeting.  As this matter involves a MAPA rulemaking process with its own written comment and public hearing process, no comments on this matter will be solicited by the commission prior to the October 9 meeting.

PHEASANT PROGRAM UPDATE (Information only)

The following document is a program update on the current pheasant program that FWP has. There is no decision piece to this; this is strictly an informational update to the Commission. There will be no public comment solicited prior to the October 9 meeting.

 

Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease/Bluetongue and Potential Adjustments to the 2025 Deer Hunting Regulations

This topic will open for public comment at or before 4 pm on October 6. The public comment period closed at 4 p.m. on October 8. This will allow time for the Commission to evaluate all submissions prior to the October 9 meeting. Public comment will also be available during the meeting.

The commission may take action on all matters specifically noticed on any agenda.

Extensive opportunity is provided for public comment on hunting, fishing and trapping regulations. As a matter of equity for citizens who cannot attend commission meetings, when making final decisions on these regulations, the commission will not open public comment unless a significant amendment to the tentative proposal is brought forth by the commission or department. Comments will be limited to the amendment only.  Time for comment may be limited at the Chair's discretion.
