Fish and Wildlife Commission considers delay of implementation of Madison River commercial cap

Jul 8, 2022 - The Fish and Wildlife Commission will meet over Zoom at 6 p.m. on Aug. 2 to consider a proposal to postpone the implementation of a commercial use cap on the Madison River.
 

FWP seeks comment on several proposals for August 25 commission meeting

Jun 24 13, 2022 - Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking public comment on several proposals slated to go to the Fish and Wildlife Commission in August. Under the new commission process, FWP is taking public comment on these proposals now and will present the collected comments and proposals to the commission for their review and decisions on Aug. 25. 
 

Fish and Wildlife Commission to hold work session June 21

June 17, 2022 - The Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission will hold a work session on Tuesday, June 21, from 4 to 5 p.m. This is an information session during which the commission will have the opportunity to discuss and ask questions on agenda items for the June 22 commission meeting.

FWP initiates new process, timeline for staff proposals to commission and board

Apr 6, 2022 - Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks announced a new internal process and timeline for putting items in front of the Fish and Wildlife Commission and State Parks and Recreation Board. The new process will provide more transparency on when and how the public interacts with the department, board and commission as well as clarity on the role each plays.

 

Mountain lion season structure proposal out for comment; online informational meetings planned

Mar 8, 2022 - At its Feb. 4 meeting, the Fish and Wildlife Commission identified a new season structure for mountain lions and asked Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks to solicit public comment on specifics of the proposal.
