Montana Outdoors covers

Education Montana Outdoors Literacy Program

The Montana Outdoors Literacy Program is designed to assist Montana middle and high school teachers in improving their student’s literacy skills.


The program meets middle and high school Montana Literacy Standards. The program provides:

  • A free subscription to Montana Outdoors Magazine for each Montana school

  • PDF version of an article chosen by FWP

  • Literacy Evaluation Tool tailored to address the chosen article

  • LAPS Literacy Strategy with questions for teachers to create evaluation tools for any Montana Outdoors article

  • General Article Evaluation tool for teachers to create evaluation tools for any Montana Outdoors article
