Walleye Spawn at Fort Peck Reservoir

Montana is well-known for its excellent trout fishing, but Fort Peck offers outstanding opportunities for anglers looking for warm water species like walleye, northern pike, perch, and smallmouth bass. This exceptional fishery thrives due to the dedicated support and management efforts of FWP. Every April, FWP and volunteers come together to conduct walleye spawning to boost recreational fishing opportunities.
