Imagine you’re riding hard down a mountain trail. The thrill of the tight trees, narrow trail and fast speed is undeniable and invigorating. As the trail you’re on weaves around a thicket of alder and huckleberries there’s a sow grizzly and two small cubs.
The wait is over. Resident and nonresident hunters can now use MyFWP to check their drawing results for Montana's deer and elk permits.
On April 15, Montana’s full response to the invasive mussels began statewide with more than 30 inspection stations, decontamination stations for boats leaving Tiber and Canyon Ferry Reservoirs and a broad outreach and education effort to help ensure people recreating on Montana’s waterways are practicing clean, drain and dry techniques at all times.
The drawing for elk permits was restarted today due to a process error. The elk and deer permit drawing process started on Monday with non-resident big game combo licenses. If applicants are successful in the license drawing then they move into elk and/or deer permit drawings, which happens next. The multi-layered drawing process typically takes a few days to complete.
Barring any other unforeseen problems, we anticipate that results will be posted online by the end of the week. Thank you for your patience.
