On September 11, 2020, the Fish and Wildlife Commission (commission) published MAR Notice No. 12-530 pertaining to the public hearing on the proposed adoption and amendment of the above-stated rules at page 1690 of the 2020 Montana Administrative Register, Issue Number 17. By order of the Montana Fish & Wildlife Commission the season for trapping of all bobcats in trapping district 1 in northwestern Montana will close at midnight on the evening of Friday, January 22, 2021.

The hunting of female mountain lions in western Montana hunting districts 280, 281, 284, 293 and portion of 298 E east of State Route 141, which includes portions of Powell and Lewis & Clark counties, closed at one-half hour after sunset on Monday, January 18, 2021.

The hunting of male mountain lions in central Montana hunting districts 416, 446, 451, 452 and 454, which includes portions of Broadwater, Cascade, Lewis and Clark, Meagher and Judith Basin counties, closed one-half hour after sunset on Monday, January 18, 2021.

This draft Environmental Assessment (EA) has been prepared for public review regarding a proposal to develop a campground host pad, pave a single vehicle camping space, develop two tent camp sites and accompanying single vehicle parking spaces, and develop additional single vehicle parking spaces in the day use parking area at the Craig Fishing Access Site. Development of the campground host pad is proposed in a location that currently does not support a campground site and therefore development of the new campground host pad will not reduce current camp site capacity.
