Activities > Accessible Recreation Opportunities Adaptive Boat Launches

Adaptive or accessibility launches for watercraft are available at several FWP. Additional opportunities for the installation of adaptive kayak launches are currently being explored to provide additional access for our users; these sites may include Spring Meadow State Park, Lake Elmo State Park, and the Yellow Bay Unit of Flathead Lake State Park.

Frenchtown Pond State Park

In 2023 an accessible Safe Board adaptive kayak launch dock was installed at Frenchtown Pond, expanding outdoor recreational opportunities for people with physical limitations.

Flathead Lake State Park - Finley Point Unit

Finley Point offers an ADA-accessible reservable boat slip that can accommodate a 24-foot boat. This boat slip can be reserved by visiting montanastateparks.reserveamerica.com
