Emergency Fishing Closure - Ruby River Region 3 River mile 0.0 to 13.8
Jun 16, 2021 4:45 PM
Effective 12:01 a.m. June 17, 2021
Per authority delegated by the F&W Commission during their April 26, 2007 meeting, and based on discussions with Fisheries Division staff, a full fishing closure will soon be in effect for portions of the Ruby River from the confluence with the Beaverhead River to Duncan District Road crossing.
Flows on the Ruby River at the USGS gauge 06023000 Ruby River near Twin Bridges MT fell below 5th percentile daily flow values on June 14, meeting fishing closure criteria (ARM 12.5.507).
The river will remain closed to fishing until lifted by FWP administrative action when daily mean flows exceed 40 cfs for 7 consecutive days or until October 15, 2021, at which time the restrictions will no longer remain in effect.
