A fish passage assessment found the existing road crossing culvert through the East Fork Cream Creek at 44.65418, -111.20462 near West Yellowstone to be inadequate with respect to aquatic organism passage under current Forest Service criteria. Deficiencies include lack of substrate within the pipe and a culvert width narrower than bank full width. The project will remove the existing culvert and replace it with a 11’-0” span by 3’-6” rise open bottom arch AOP culvert that meets current standards. The width of the culvert will span bank full plus 1.5 feet on each side of the channel and therefore will not encroach into the water body.
