Sportsman's Bridge FAS SPA124 Decision Notice

FWP has been tasked with relocation of the existing Sportsman's Bridge Fishing Access Site (FAS) found on the eastern bank of the Flathead River to the western bank as part of the construction of the new bridge in Summer 2025. Optimal time of construction for the boat launch will be Spring 2025.
Based on the environmental review provided in the Draft EA, and, to the greatest extent possible, in accordance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies, FWP determined the proposed action (Alternative 2), proceeding with the construction of the new boat ramp at the Sportsman's Bridge FAS, will not have significant adverse impacts on the human environment associated with the proposed action and constitutes a reasonable and appropriate strategy to achieve identified objectives. Therefore, preparation of an environmental impact statement or EIS is unnecessary.
FWP hereby adopts the Draft EA as final and approves Alternative 2, the Proposed Action.
