SPA 124 PERMIT Lewis and Clark County – Stemple Pass Road Stabilization

Lewis and Clark County has applied for a SPA 124 permit to stabilize a section of Stemple Pass Road. Stemple Pass Road parallels Poorman Creek and encroaches on the stream in numerous locations. A section of roadway along upper Poorman Creek has recently eroded, leaving the roadway vulnerable to failure. Lewis and Clark County is proposing to stabilize the bank with rip rap to stabilize the road embankment to prevent complete failure of Stemple Pass Road. It will also prevent further sedimentation and stream impacts.
