Decision Notice for SPA 124 Permit for Installation of Flowable Concrete Under the Stipek FAS Boat Ramp

A Decision Notice has been issued for a checklist EA for a SPA 124 Permit for the installation of flowable concrete under the Stipek FAS Boat Ramp. Earlier in 2024, riprap rock was installed for bank stabilization adjacent to the contrete boat ramp at Stipek Fishing Access SIte. High flow events in the spring of 2022 had eroded the upstream and downstream areas adjacent to the boat ramp. The riprap project was intended to protect the existing infrastructure while the Department plans for alternative boat launching solutions. After completing this work, FWP staff realized the void under the concrete ramp was larger than expected. Pumping flowable concrete under the ramp between the riprap upstream and downstream of the ramp will ensure structural integrity of the ramp.
