USFS Storm Castle Creek Garnet Mountain Trail Bridge Replacement FWP-DN-FSH-R3-24-072

The purpose of this project is to remove the existing damaged bridge and replace it with a 45’ glulam wood bridge. About 20’ of streambank on each side of the stream will be impacted as the old abutments are removed and the banks restored. The new sills will be set several feet farther back from the stream than the old sills and will not encroach into the stream channel or banks. Current vegetation on site includes grasses, willows, trees, and other herbaceous plants.

The applicant is Zachary Fisher of the United States Forest Service. The project is expected to occur between 11/4/2024 and 11/4/2025.
