Bad Rock Canyon WMA Trails and Fencing Improvements Decision Notice

A Decision Notice has been issued for a proposal to construct trails, improve existing trails, and install boundary fencing at Bad Rock Canyon Wildlife Management Area (WMA) near Columbia Falls, MT
FWP reviewed the proposed action and all public comments received in response to the proposed action. Based on this review, and pursuant to the applicable requirements of MEPA and ยง 87-1-241, MCA. FWP hereby recommends approval of the proposed improvements to the existing 2.6-mile trail constructed by Gateway to Glacier Trail prior to FWP ownership, construction of approximately 0.4 miles of new trail, incorporation of 1.5 miles of existing two-track roads (two-tracks) into the WMA trail network, and installation of 0.5 miles of wildlife-friendly fencing on the property boundary.
