Vandalia WMA Management Agreement & Associated Management Actions Decision Notice FWP-DN-WLD-R6-24-09

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) conducted a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) of a proposed action, a 20-year management agreement between the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and FWP for managing the public recreation, wildlife, and other resource uses on the Vandalia Wildlife Management Area (WMA). A 16-day comment period was held from November 14th through November 29th. Review of public comment and the Draft EA determined that the proposed action would not have significant adverse impacts to the human and physical environment and preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement was unnecessary. A decision notice was issued on December 10th, 2024, adopting the Draft EA as final and approving the proposed action.
