SPA 124 Missoula County Public Works Department – Crystal Creek Bridge Maintenance

The proposed project will mitigate stream bed deposition under and immediately surrounding the bridge, which limits capacity and ultimately threatens access to public and private properties past the site. Work to alleviate the issue is planned for spring 2024 as part of routine maintenance at this location.

Based on the environmental review provided in the Draft EA, and, to the greatest extent possible, in accordance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies, FWP determined the proposed action (Alternative 2) will not have significant adverse impacts on the human environment and constitutes a reasonable and appropriate strategy to achieve identified objectives. Therefore, preparation of an environmental impact statement or EIS is unnecessary. The project will allow Missoula County to implement removal of material and bridge maintenance at the Crystal Creek crossing.

FWP hereby adopts the Draft EA as final and approves Alternative 2, the Proposed Action.
