Jefferson River – Old Town East Bridge Replacement FWP-DN-FSH-R3-24-020

Gallatin County proposes to replace the existing vehicle bridge over the main channel of the Jefferson River along Old Town Road near Three Forks. The new bridge will have approximately the same dimensions and freeboard of the existing structure, so long-term effects will be negligible. The bridge design meets Gallatin County Flood Standards and matches existing capacity to pass floods. Bridge support structures and bank armoring will be similar to the existing structure. Disturbance during installation will have minimal, short-term effects. Work is planned from June through December, 2023, but no instream work will be permitted during the high flow period, which is approximately June 1 through July 1.
