Holtan Reservoir Yellow Perch Introduction

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks proposes to introduce Yellow Perch into Holtan Reservoir, a 4.2-acre reservoir in Sheridan County, MT. The objective of this proposal is to create an additional recreational fishing opportunity for Northeast Montana anglers. Yellow Perch are expected to become self-sustaining following introduction. Long-term monitoring will allow for densities to be established that maximize survival, growth, and catchability.
