Glen Lake Pond Restoration Decision Notice

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks has released a Decision Notice for a project that requested funding from the Community Pond Program, restoration of Glen Lake Pond. The project is located in Bozeman (Gallatin County) and would convert the linear, steep-sided, excavated drainage ditch from Glen Lake into a meandering, natural-looking spring-fed channel. Glen Lake Rotary Park is a major recreation site for the Bozeman area. The restored channel and associated landscaping will improve aquatic and terrestrial habitat and create additional recreation and educational opportunities for the public. Public comments were accepted from Feb. 27, 2023 to March 14, 2023, but no comments were received. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks intends to provide Community Pond Program grant funding to the project.
