Decision Notice: Fish Creek WMA-Wustner Bee Lease

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks issued a decision notice to renew a beehive lease on Fish Creek Wildlife Management Area (WMA).  The lease is for approximately 40 hives on a 20 x 30-foot area within the Rehbein parcel and approximately 40 hives on a 20 x 30-foot area adjacent to Thompson Creek Road. The initial lease for both apiaries expired on October 1, 2022 and the lease will extend from June 1, 2023 through October 1, 2033.

A checklist environmental assessment for the lease renewal was released in May for public review and comment.
