Future Fisheries 2023 Winter cycle EA Decision Notice (Flint Creek, Little Boulder River, O'Brien Creek projects)

On April 3, 2023, Montana FWP issued three draft Environmental Assessments (EAs), where FWP would provide funding to support the projects through the Future Fisheries Improvement Program. The projects are 1) Flint Creek Riparian Restoration Phase 2; 2) Little Boulder Restoration; and 3) O’Brien Creek Meadows Stream Restoration. Based on the environmental review provided in the Draft EAs, and in accordance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies, FWP determined none of the proposed actions would have significant adverse impacts on the human environment associated with the proposed action and that all three proposals constitute reasonable and appropriate strategies to achieve the identified objectives of the proposed projects. Therefore, preparation of an EIS is unnecessary for all three projects. FWP hereby adopts the three Draft EA as final and approves the proposed action to fund these projects through the Future Fisheries Improvement Program.
