Draft Environmental Assessment for Sha-Ron River Access Overflow Parking Lot

Montana FWP proposes to acquire a recreation permit from the Montana Department of Transportation that would allow for public parking and river access approximately 0.2 miles northeast of the Sha-Ron Fishing Access Site (FAS). The parking lot and access would be constructed by Missoula County on the south side of Old MT-200 and would be managed by FWP under the recreation permit. The existing Sha-Ron FAS is a river access point used heavily in the summer by river recreationists and includes a boat launch.
