Decision Notice Bad Rock Canyon WMA Acquisition

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) is recommending that the Fish and Wildlife Commission approve the purchase of a 772-acre property along the Flathead River currently owned by the Columbia Falls Aluminum Company near Columbia Falls, MT and manage it as a Wildlife Management Area. FWP released a draft EA for public comment from August 10 to September 8, 2021 and held a public hearing on August 26, 2021. FWP received 209 public comments all in support of the project. All questions and concerns raised by commenters are addressed in the decision notice.
