Decision Notice FY22 Missoula Trap and Skeet Club Shooting Range Grant

Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks (FWP) released a draft environmental assessment (EA) for a Shooting Range Development Grant proposal from the Missoula Trap and Skeet Club. 

FWP will provide up to $37,500 in funding for projects deemed eligible for Missoula Trap and Skeet Club’s proposed improvements of reconstructing the Olympic Trap facility by rebuilding the bunker, replacing the roof and doors, updating the electrical facilities to meet modern codes, and replacing all 15 of the clay pigeons throwing machines. 

 

The Missoula Trap and Skeet Range is located on U.S. Highway 10 approximately 9 miles west of Missoula, Montana at 8650 Old Highway 10, Missoula, MT, 59808; Latitude 46.9544, Longitude -114.1483; Section 20, Township 14 North, Range 20 West. 

 

A Draft EA was made available for public review and comment on FWP’s website (http://fwp.mt.gov/, “news/Public-Notices”) from May 5, 2021 to May 21, 2021. A legal notice was also published in the Missoulian newspaper on May 7, 2021.

Based on public and internal review, the Draft EA will be adopted as the Final EA. This Decision Notice and the Final EA will serve as the final documents pertaining to this action.
