Decision Notice FY22 Billings Trap Club Shooting Range Grant

Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks (FWP) released a draft environmental assessment (EA) for a Shooting Range Development Grant proposal from the Billings Rod and Gun Club (BRGC)

FWP will provide up to $63,970 in funding for projects deemed eligible for Billings Rod and Gun Club (BRGC) proposed improvements of constructing an eighth pistol bay and expanding the parking lot at the pistol range.

The Billings Rod and Gun Club range is located approximately 1 mile north of Billings, Montana, at 2931 Rod and Gun Club Road, Billings, MT 59106, Lat. 45.8248, Long. -108.5840, SW1/4 Section 23, Township 1 North, Range 25 East.

A Draft EA was made available for public review and comment on FWP’s website (http://fwp.mt.gov/, “news/Public-Notices”) from April 27, 2021 May 14, 2021. A legal notice was also published in the Billings Gazette newspaper on Aril 29, 2021.

One public comment was received.

 

Based on public and internal review, the Draft EA will be adopted as the Final EA. This Decision Notice and the Final EA will serve as the final documents pertaining to this action.
