Shooting Range Development Program Categorical Exclusion Determination

 

The Pondera Shooting Sport Club, 972 Granite Road, Conrad, MT 59425, proposes to install a security system.  The Pondera Shooting Sport Club applied for a grant under the Montana Shooting Range Development Program for $6,565.⁰⁰ in funding for the cost of purchasing these items.  

 

The proposed action is considered a minor repair or maintenance of an existing facility or equipment; or primarily social or economic in nature and that does not otherwise affect the human environment and therefore is exempt from an Environmental Assessment under MEPA (Montana Environmental Policy Act), IAW the MEPA Model Rules implemented under Title 75, chapter 1, MCA, the Montana Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) para. III…

 

(5) The agency is not required to prepare an EA or an EIS for the following categories of action:...(c) minor repairs, operations, or maintenance of existing equipment or facilities; (f) actions that are primarily social or economic in nature and that do not otherwise affect the human environment.
