Big Reservoir Environmental Review of Fish Introduction

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks proposes to introduce hatchery Rainbow Trout into Big Reservoir, a 7.5-acre reservoir in Valley County, MT. The objective of this proposal is to provide an additional recreational fishing opportunity for Northeast Montana anglers. Rainbow Trout will be stocked into Big Reservoir under a “put-grow-take” management approach. Stocking densities will be established to maximize survival, growth, and catchability.
