Decision Notice FY22 Thompson Falls Trap Club Shooting Range Grant

Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks (FWP) released a draft environmental assessment (EA) for a Shooting Range Development Grant proposal from the Thompson Falls Trap Club (TFTC).

 FWP will provide up to $5,445 in funding for projects deemed eligible for TFTC’s proposed improvements of upgrading the water system and increasing the capacity of the reserve water holding system. 

The TFTC Range is located on Montana Highway 200 approximately 5 miles east of Thompson Falls, Montana at 5661 Montana Highway 200, Thompson Falls, MT; latitude 47.651202, longitude -115.393718; Section 18, Township 21 North, Range 28 West (Figure 1 and 2).

A Draft EA was made available for public review and comment on FWP’s website (http://fwp.mt.gov/, “news/Public-Notices”) from May 10, 2021 to May 28, 2021. A legal notice was also published in the Sanders County Ledger newspaper on May 10, 2021.

Based on public and internal review, the Draft EA will be adopted as the Final EA. This Decision Notice and the Final EA will serve as the final documents pertaining to this action.
