Draft Environmental Assessment Lone Pine State Park Public Water Supply Well Project
Jul 29, 2021 3:34 PM
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is seeking public comment on a proposal to replace the well and cistern that serves Lone Pine State Park. The existing well and cistern installed in 1977 have far surpassed their expected service lives and have experienced significant degradation. Monthly testing of the system poses considerable health risks to staff due to chlorine gas accumulation in the underground chamber. A new system would be built to current DEQ standards with controls housed above ground in a small structure.
