Stuart Mill Bay FAS Proposed Sale of 0.09-acre Portion--Draft EA

FWP will be seeking public review of a proposal to sell a 0.09-acre parcel of land within its Stuart Mill Bay Fishing Access Site (FAS) on Georgetown Lake in Deer Lodge County. The parcel would be sold to an adjacent private landowner (Neely). The purpose of the sale would be to provide Neely with legal ownership of a small parcel of land that includes a road portion across the FAS to their private property.

FWP is preparing a draft environmental assessment (EA) for this proposal, but the EA’s completion has been delayed.  We estimate the EA will be ready in early August.  At the time the EA is posted on this webpage, a 30-day public review and comment period will commence.
