Montana State Parks seeks public review of a draft environmental assessment (EA) for its proposal for public-access improvements on a newly acquired 0.9-acre property (parcel) immediately south of its Fort Owen State Park (SP), located approximately 1-mile northwest of Stevensville in Ravalli County in Region 2 FWP.

On September 11, 2020, the Fish and Wildlife Commission (commission) published MAR Notice No. 12-530 pertaining to the public hearing on the proposed adoption and amendment of the above-stated rules at page 1690 of the 2020 Montana Administrative Register, Issue Number 17. The commission has adopted and amended the rules as proposed. For more information, please see the Adoption Notice.

Environmental Assessment Craig Campground Host Pad and Site Improvements >

This draft Environmental Assessment (EA) has been prepared for public review regarding a proposal to develop a campground host pad, pave a single vehicle camping space, develop two tent camp sites and accompanying single vehicle parking spaces, and develop additional single vehicle parking spaces in the day use parking area at the Craig Fishing Access Site. Development of the campground host pad is proposed in a location that currently does not support a campground site and therefore development of the new campground host pad will not reduce current camp site capacity.
