Multiple BMUs to close

HELENA – By order of the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission, the hunting of all black bears in the following Bear Management Units (BMUs) will close one half hour after sunset Tuesday June 3rd, 2025: 301, 319, 400, and 700.

The total black bear harvest in the these BMUs for the spring season is greater than 37% females (BMU 700 without hounds met the harvest quota of 4 total bears), prompting the season to close.
