HELENA – Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ River Recreation Advisory Council (RRAC) will meet virtually on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. During the meeting, the council will review and edit the recommendations they drafted during the three-day in-person sessions held earlier this month.
For a link to watch the Zoom meeting, go to fwp.mt.gov/aboutfwp/commission-councils-committees/river-recreation-advisory-council. An opportunity for public comment will be offered at the end of the meeting. Participants can raise their hand through Zoom to make a comment.
The purpose of the RRAC is to develop a set of recommendations for managing river recreation in Montana and administering the use of water-related activities. The focus area extends to department lands and water bodies that are restricted under the authority of FWP. This includes recreation use on and along the water way, including fishing access sites.
Members of the RRAC were selected by FWP Director Dustin Temple. They are Derek Young of Lakeside, Todd Frank of Missoula, Ben Schmidt of Missoula, Abbey Thomas of Gardiner, Scott Vollmer of Bozeman, Robert Ray of Helena, Samuel Schmidt of Great Falls, Ross Johnson of Great Falls, Dante Bonanini of Saint Xavier, and Marcus Strange of Helena.
