FWP south-central Montana Citizen Advisory Committee to meet Aug. 19

BILLINGS – The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Region 5 Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) will meet Monday, Aug. 19, at Pictograph Cave State Park. The meeting will begin at 2 p.m.

At the August meeting, citizen advisors will receive presentations on FWP’s access programs, the status of fish in the Stillwater River and licensing basics. The meeting will also include a walking tour of Pictograph Cave State Park and an update on grant-funded pre-preservation work at the park.

The CAC is a general advisory committee that provides input and feedback to FWP on diverse issues, from wildlife and fisheries management to access, state parks, outdoor recreation, and law enforcement. The committee is designed to have a membership that represents a variety of Montana communities and natural resource interests.
