Road to Black Bridge FAS repaired

MILES CITY – The access road to Black Bridge Fishing Access Site near Glendive has been repaired, allowing recreationists to again utilize the entire site.

 

Portions of the road, adjacent river bank and a parking area had been significantly undercut by spring runoff from the Yellowstone River. Unsafe conditions limited access to walk-in traffic until repairs could be made. The project replaced 700 feet of the road, routing it around the undercut areas, which are now blocked off. Ditching was added on both sides of the new road for drainage, and some significant holes in the remaining road were repaired.

FWP completed an Environmental Assessment Checklist for the project.
