Littering reported at Forsyth-area Fishing Access Sites
MILES CITY – Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks has received several reports lately of an increased problem with littering at the Rosebud East and Rosebud West Fishing Access Sites near Forsyth.
FWP staff and citizens have reported an uptick in trash being left at the recreation sites, particularly over the lunch hour. Much of the trash is from local fast food restaurants.
Site users are asked to use designated trashcans or to pack their garbage out with them.
Those cited for a first offense of littering could be fined $135. FWP will be monitoring the sites for more frequently for compliance.
Anyone with possible information about incidents of littering is encouraged to visit https://myfwp.mt.gov/fwpPub/tipmont to provide details or call the FWP violation reporting hot line at 1-800-TIP-MONT (and/or Game Warden Sgt. Casey Prell at 406-853-1801). You may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
