Public open house set for June 21

STEVENSVILLE – Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks and community partners are updating the interpretive plan for Fort Owen State Park near Stevensville. The public is invited to an open house on Tuesday, June 21, beginning at 3 p.m. at Fort Owen to learn more about the project and provide feedback.

The interpretive plan will guide how the park tells the story of the site and its unique history, and uses techniques such as exhibits, handouts, digital outreach, and live education programs to do so.

Stop by any time between 3 and 7 p.m. on June 21 to learn more and see some ideas developed so far. Lisa Bickell from Field to Frame Interpretive Planning & Design in Missoula will be on site to present concepts and themes that have been drafted by FWP and the partners that are helping with the project.

For more information call FWP regional recreation manager, Loren Flynn, at 406-542-5517 or email lflynn2@mt.gov.
