Pull your weight at Tower Rock State Park
GREAT FALLS –The removal of invasive and noxious weeds is crucial to maintaining public lands, and one of the main culprits in Montana is spotted knapweed. You can be part of helping to protect Tower Rock State Park from this invasive plant on June 26 from 9:00-11:00 AM by joining park staff and volunteers in a weed pull targeting spotted knapweed.
The park will provide gloves and tools, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves for comfort. Safety training will be provided, and volunteers should also bring plenty of water, snacks, a hat, sturdy hiking boots, and sunscreen. Snakes are found in the area, so close-toed shoes and long pants are required.
Pre-registration is required, call 406-866-2217 or email zoesmiarowski@mt.gov to sign up.
