Snake hikes at First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park

GREAT FALLS – As the weather warms up for summer, snakes and other reptiles are becoming more active, but that doesn’t mean you have to stop hiking, you just have to know what to do if you encounter a snake on the trail. Dan “The Snake Man” will lead a guided hike through the park to learn where snakes like to hide and what to do when you meet up with one while you are hiking. Bring your camera and get some great photos while enjoying time in your beautiful park.

Children 8 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult. The program will meet at top of the jump in the parking area. Closed toe shoes and long pants are required for your safety.

Cost for the class is $4 per person, and participation is limited to 20 individuals. Pre-registration is required. To register call 406-866-2217 or email kylee.meyer@mt.gov
