Montana Bird Distribution, 6th Edition.
The
Montana Bird Distribution (MBD) database and associated publications is a collaborative effort among Montana Audubon, MFWP, and the Montana Natural Heritage Program to maintain up-to-date information on the status and distribution of Montana's bird species. The first edition of MBD was published in 1975, and the MBD database was developed in 1991. The Wild Mammals of Montana, 2001.
The Wild Mammals of Montana, 2001, by Kerry R. Foresman. American Society of Mammalogists, Special Publication No. 12. This book is the first comprehensive account of the mammals of Montana to provide detailed information on all 108 species. Range maps, helpful illustrations and color photographs make The Wild Mammals of Montana a valuable resource for professional biologists as well as those with no formal biological training. Although the development of this book was not supported by Nongame Wildlife Checkoff funds, The Wild Mammals of Montana is highly recommended.
