The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) recently informed Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) about new procedures required for reimbursement of Recreational Trails Program (RTP) grants. This resulted from a 2008 audit of Montana's program. The following information applies to all RTP grants in Montana, including already approved (pre-2009) and future grants.

Most of this information was supplied to RTP grant sponsors at the October 4, 2008, training session in Helena. However, the materials have been modified and expanded. We also have included a question and answer section that should prove useful.

Any grantee who has not received a payment from Fish, Wildlife & Parks in the last two years needs to refer to the posted W-9 form.
