Park Naturalists aid park staff in preparing and presenting natural and cultural history interpretive programs for children through seniors on- and off-site; developing and caring for live and static exhibits; handling live animals such as reptiles, raptors, mammals, and insects for programs; greeting park visitors, providing park information, and leading hikes and tours; assisting with evening and weekend programs, and helping at special events. Park Hosts serve as liaisons between park users and park staff. Hosts camp among other campers, where campgrounds are provided, in order to provide a personal touch and to accommodate the needs of park visitors. Hosts assist visitors by providing information about the park, answering questions, and explaining rules. Visitor Center Attendants greet visitors, provide information and assistance, conduct tours, run multi-media programs, keep attendance records, and perform light maintenance duties at facilities. [Read full description]
Special Projects Assistants help park staff with special projects and events. This may include preparing for an event, assisting on-site during an event, lending a hand with presentations, or conducting on-site surveys.
