For those of you who want to experience an alternative to yurts, cabins, trailers, motels, etc. but would enjoy something less "modern", we also have the perfect solution for your adventurous desires. Bannack State Park, Beavertail Hill State Park, Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park and Missouri Headwaters State Park offer tipi rentals for an authentic step back in time. The two Sioux-style tipis at Beavertail Hill are 18 feet in size and can comfortably sleep 6-8 people. The canvas tipi have no furnishings, but do have indoor, out door carpeting and a picnic table and fire grill located outside. Another tipi is available at Bannack State Park. The tipis use just 17 poles and are very structurally sound. Reservations are strongly encouraged for all these special accommodations.
