Beginning 06-16-2014 until further notice Advisory Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks may temporarily close the boat ramp at George Grant FAS during 48-hour Big Hole River floating closures related to the Silver Bridge/Powerhouse construction project. During those time periods, the river will be closed to floating downstream of George Grant FAS to 1,000 feet downstream of Silver Bridge. Signs will be posted the prior day and this website will be kept up to date.
Greenwood Bottoms

R3 Big Hole River
Beginning 06-15-2014 until further notice Advisory Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks has temporarily closed the Big Hole River from 7am 9/5/14 to mid-night 9/10/14. During this time period, the river will be closed to launching and floating downstream of Greenwood Bottoms FAS to 1,000 feet below Silver Bridge. Powerhouse Fishing Access Site will also be closed to launching during this period. Wade fishing from 1000 feet above to 1000 feet below Powerhouse FAS is prohibited.
Lost Creek

Beginning 06-19-2014 until further notice Advisory Lost Creek Trail No. 8133 will be under construction throughout the summer. The trail will remain open; however, machinery will be used for the construction of the two bridges. When approaching work areas, establish eye contact with equipment operators and follow their directions.

Clark Fork Riverbank
Beginning 05-01-2013 until further notice Site Closure Vegetated portions of the Clark Fork Riverbank are closed for resource restoration through April 2015. Exception: River gravel bars may be accessed by boaters and floaters. The confluence area, from the I-90 bridges to the railroad bridge remains closed to public access.

Beginning 08-10-2014 until further notice Advisory Advisory: Because of the low water levels of Painted Rocks Reservoir it is no longer possible to launch boats from Painted Rocks State Park this season. Boaters can use the U.S. Forest Service launch site near Painted Rocks Dam.
