Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) is seeking public comment on Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) grant applications for the current grant cycle.
The Off-Highway Vehicle program (OHV) is administered by Montana State Parks. OHV grant program projects can include; maintenance of existing trails, signage, ethics and safety education and noxious weed control.
There is approximately $160,000 dollars available for this grant cycle. The application requests received would require nearly double the funding available.

(Helena, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) is seeking public comment on Recreational Trails Program (RTP) grant applications for the current grant cycle.
The Recreational Trails Program (RTP) is a federally funded program administered by Montana State Parks. RTP projects include development and rehabilitation work on urban, rural, and backcountry trails; planning and construction of community trails; snowmobile and cross-country ski trail maintenance and grooming operations; and a variety of trail stewardship and safety education programs.
There is approximately $1.3 million in federal funds available for this grant cycle and demand is high. The applications received would require double the funds available.

Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks (FWP) has released a draft environmental assessment (EA) for a Shooting Range Development Grant proposal from Western Montana Fish & Game Association (WMFGA). FWP would provide $22,750 partial funding for WMFGA’s proposed improvements (earthwork, road corner reconstruction, new shooting bays) to the Deer Creek Shooting Center, located in the Hellgate Canyon between East Missoula and Bonner.
