FWP issued a Decision Notice that recommends that the FWP Commission approve the proposed purchase of the hard-rock mineral rights for FWP’s Fish Creek property, at its August 18th meeting in Helena. Approval will also be necessary from the Montana Board of Land Commissioners.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) has released a draft environmental assessment (EA) for the Polson Shooters Association for a Shooting Range Development Grant. This range is located on Kerr Dam Road, southwest of Polson, MT. FWP proposes to provide $20,150 in partial funding to connect power to the range; construct wall between handgun and rifle ranges; construct concrete pads, benches and covers; and add stairs from parking area.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks has released a draft environmental assessment (EA) for the Park County Rod and Gun Club for a Shooting Range Development Grant. This range is located northwest of Livingston, MT just off of Meigs Road. FWP proposes to provide $12,635 in partial funding to improve the high power rifle line facility and replace an ageing trap machine.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks has released a draft environmental assessment (EA) for the Great Falls Shooting Sports Complex for a Shooting Range Development Grant. This range is located approximately 3 miles north of Great Falls. The Project will provide $25,676.88 in partial funding towards construction of 1000 yard shooting range pits.
