Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) proposes to grant a non-exclusive easement within the Stuart Mill Bay Fishing Access Site to Dianna B. Neeley for an underground powerline to her property.

For the 2007/08 biennium, the Butte Trap Club submitted a request for funding ($15,797.50) to FWP’s Shooting Range Grant Program to assist with the upgrade of 3 trap clay throwers and the replacement of 2 trap houses.

A telecommunications cable will be installed on the county easement/right of way on the south side of the Reed and Bowles FAS, adjacent to Joyland Rod. The directional bore method will be used to install telecommunications cable under Big Spring Creek. The construction route will cross the creek at a right angle and will be from high water level to high water level. The overall bore length will be about 240 ft.

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) invites the public to comment on its proposal to purchase a conservation easement on 4,940 acres along Dalton Mountain Road at a cost of $1,379,000. The proposed Dalton Mountain Conservation Easement is located 10 airline miles southeast of Helmville in Powell County, Montana. FWP’s purposes for acquiring the conservation easement are to protect elk winter range and associated wildlife habitat. A Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) is available for review and comment beginning Friday, October 26, 2007. You may view the EA at FWP’s website www.fwp.mt.gov (“Recent Public Notices”) or request a copy by mailing FWP, 3201 Spurgin Road, Missoula, MT 59804; phoning 406-542-5540; or emailing shrose@mt.gov.
