Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP), Region One, has written a draft environmental assessment (EA) for the purpose of developing the Lower Flathead River Fishing Access Site (FAS) using funds from fishing license dollars. The site is approximately five miles SE of Paradise, Montana, in Sanders County.

The attached Decision Notices (2) have been prepared for proposed habitat enhancement projects for fluvial Arctic grayling in the Big Hole River. The fluvial Arctic grayling population in the upper Big Hole watershed is threatened by low quality habitat and low instream flows. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is proposing enhancing habitat at two locations on approximately seven miles of the Big Hole River. Four public comments were received during a 30-day comment period ending October 30, 2007.
It is my decision to proceed with the proposed projects with no changes to the Draft Environmental Assessments.
