MT Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) proposes to enhance Sportsmans Bridge FAS, including increasing the parking capacity. Increasing and defining parking slots at the site will accommodate current usage and allow for site protection. (Decision Notices - 07/28/2006)
FWP, Region One, has prepared an environmental assessment for the rehabilitation of Kilbrennan Lake and Kilbrennan and Feeder Creeks for the purpose of removing eastern brook trout, nonnative rainbow trout, yellow perch, and black bullheads, and restocking with native redband trout. The project is located approximately 10 miles NW of Troy Montana.
A public meeting will be held Thursday, August 17, at 6 p.m. at the U.S. Forest Service Three Rivers Ranger District, 1437 N Hwy 2, Troy, Montana. The draft is out for public review through Monday, August 28, 2006. (Restoration & Rehabilitation - 07/28/2006)
Hell Creek State Park- Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks with cooperation from U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge (USFWS—CMR) are proposing to create two non-motorized hiking trails and one combination (motorized part way and then non-motorized traffic only) with a trailhead and two parking lots adjacent to the trailheads.
